Rapture Without Tears
Abstract
The human curiosity since the advent of advanced science/technology and critical thinking has skyrocketed. As much as Moore’s Law asserts that the number of transistors on a microchip doubles every two years, so is the exponential rate at which technology continues to unravel things which used to be deemed miracles and/or magic.
The human race developing from remnants of evolutionary objects, hunter-gatherers, to the current Homo Sapient stage has not been by accident.
While believers are of the belief that a day shall come when all humans shall be culled from the world, evidence is continually being provided that humans could slip off the hand of the creator and live eternally on earth or elsewhere. Whatever establishes the human species as the nadir of earthly existence may one day come to a final end or leapfrog into eternal existence.
From gene editing, space tech, biohacking, cloning, robotics, free energy, telepathy, artificial intelligence, CRISPR, to the role capitalism plays in further altering human culture, nature and physiology; we drift everyday towards a peak that is definite. And depending on the path humans choose, that ending may also be the nadir of our collective civilization as we know it.
In the wrong hands, a mixture of Space Tech, Artificial Intelligence, Gene Editing and the ability to clone at scale could be that rapture that so many believers dread. Same array of scientific and human advancement in good hands could also be a door to a new paradise where humans could now begin to have endless joy. That rapture may mean the mass exodus of humans from earth to colonize another re-engineered planet.
How the human race combines and utilizes all of these tools and knowledge at its disposal in the next four decades will very much determine its fate as we know it.
What lies ahead for humans to inherit from all the advancements being pursued daily? Would humans ever conquer(control) Nature, Moon, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter and the entire Milky Way or instead be consumed in a loop and implosion by its own exploits? What shall be done with all of these powers waiting to be deployed fully and freely as well as the enhancements/advanced capabilities at the fingertips of the most powerful nations on earth? Or could that end also possibly be with a Supreme Being who desires to harvest its creation after their exploits on earth just by deploying anarchy?
Whether these powers will be to the advantage or disadvantage which has made humans the new gods; whether it will lead to tears of joy or slowly to eternal damnation is one thing which time shall surely reveal.
